Meet Pastor Bobby

"Keep on Keeping On - Celebrate Life" was the slogan painted on the wall of the Chuck's hamburger joint where Tracy and I dated when I lived in Texas. That's still my life mantra - and the people in my life help make it true. I love adventure from taking the road less travelled over a Colorado mountain pass to starting a new church - and I've done both on more than one occaision.

I am the Community Pastor and am leading our development of Life Transformation Groups - small groups meeting whereever and whenever to help people in their life journey. My wife, Tracy and I are also leading the children's ministry at Genesis - we love kids, especially Thomas and Tyler, our 7 and 5 yr old boys!

BASIC STUFF
Both Tracy and I were raised in Texas - the Houston area for me and the Dallas area for Tracy. We attended Texas A&M at the same time, but never met until years after gradutation when we were lving in Plano, TX. I was serving as a Student Pastor and Tracy was attending events with the Singles Ministry at our church. We began dating and ministering together. Then in 1996 - the excitment really began!

We got married in August of 1996 and moved to Elizabeth, CO to start a new church there. Through God's help, we planted the Creekside Community Church there and I served as the lead pastor untill 2001. Since then, we've served in Denver, Colorado Springs, and even Altanta GA helping plant churches and training church planting leadership teams.

Now we are living in the Meadows of Castle Rock and I am the Church Multiplication Team Leader with the Colorado Baptist Convention - coordinating the church planting and missional efforts of a network of 300 Baptist churches in Colorado. Thomas is a student at Meadow View Elementary and Tyler is discovering the world through trips to the Zoo, Children's Museum, camping, and regular excursions to Walmart, Target, and Home Depot.

  • Places: I love the bluebonnet covered hills of Centrel Texas and drving through Glenwood Canyon.
  • What's on your iPod: Chris Tomlin, Alabama, and the Christian Comedy Podcast.
  • Books: My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers is my favorite devotional; Good to Great (Collins), Conecting Church (Frazee).
  • What do you TiVo: 24 - (I've never missed an episode); American Idol; House - all I realy need is the Fox Network.
  • Sport Teams: Texas A&M Aggie football and the Denver Broncos.
  • Movies: Mr. Holland's Opus and Disney's Car's - Mater is my favorite!
  • Hobbies: During the winter, I am a web geek - building websites for ministries and small businesses. I like to learn about all things wired. I love to camp, hike, and explore God's green earth. I hope to learn fly fishing this summer.
  • Odd Facts: I am an identical twin - a mirror image of a guy living in Texas.
