SPORTS AND ADVENTURE CAMPS - Spring and Summer
A sports or adventure camp for kids under age 12. These could be a single sport based camp or a combination camp where kids are introduced to a number of different sports. Adventure camps would b outdoor activity camps that are similar to a traditional VBS but with the focus on outdoor activity (hikes, ropes course, trip to zoo, etc.) With the exception of one week in the summer these camps are held in the evenings and on weekends due to our year round school schedule. During the morning time, we will engage in prayer walking and community service. Additionally, we would probably plan on some sort of end of camp celebration or neighborhood party.

COMMUNITY EVENT TRIP
These are trips centered around a community activity in Castle Rock where Genesis would like to have a presence. They vary through out the year but typically would require a weekend stay (at the least, come in Thursday and leave late Sunday or Monday) Depending on the length of the trip and the activity we would also engage in prayer walking, community service, or servant evangelism. Some key community events that we would like to be involved in are:

Trash Bash (April) - Neighborhood clean up and recycle event
Elephant Rock Bike Race (June)- some 7,000 plus riders and 20,000 support staff
July 4th - We have 2 big community events we could participate with
Music in the Meadows (July & August) - 3 outdoor concerts in our community
County Fair and Parade (Aug) - Parade and events in town
Artfest (Sept) - About 25,000 people come into town
Starlighting (Nov) - Christmas celebration with about 15,000 people from our town

COMMUNITY SERVICE TRIP
These could occur at any time through out the year and focus on working with one or more of our community partners to accomplish a task in our community. Projects vary based on date of travel and needs of the organization. We also have the opportunity to serve our neighborhoods through serving our neighbors, holding block parties, etc during this type of trip.
